Dr. Katarina Barley, MdB studierte Rechtswissenschaften in Marburg und Paris. Anschließend arbeitete sie als Rechtsanwältin in einer Großkanzlei und darauffolgend als Richterin am Landgericht Trier und am Amtsgericht Wittlich. Seit 2013 ist sie Abgeordnete des Deutschen Bundestages. Nach ihrem Amt als Generalsekretärin der SPD wurde sie Bundesministerin für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend und anschließend geschäftsführende Bundesministerin für Arbeit und Soziales. Seit März 2018 ist sie Bundesministerin der Justiz und für Verbraucherschutz.

Konteradmiralin Heidi Berg ist Leiterin der Abteilung Intelligence beim US Africa Command in Stuttgart. Rear Admiral Heidi Berg is the Director of Intelligence with the US Africa Command in Stuttgart. She graduated the US Naval Academy, studied Middle Eastern Issues at Oxford University and Arabic in Egypt. Admiral Berg had assignments in Afghanistan, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, and has received numerous awards from the US Department of Defense.

She works as a research coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group "Responsibility: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence" at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Generalleutnant Hans-Werner Wiermann ist seit August 2015 der deutsche Militärvertreter beim Militärkomittee der NATO und EU. Er trat 1976 in die Bundeswehr ein und durchlief in seiner militärischen Laufbahn zahlreiche Positionen, unter anderem war er als Referent im Auswärtigen Amt und dem Bundesministerium der Verteidigung tätig.

Lieutenant General Hans-Werner Wiermann is the German Military Representative to the NATO and EU Military Committees since August 2015. He joined the German military in 1976 and held numerous positions, including as adviser to the German Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Defense.

Rachel Tausendfreund is Editorial Director at the German Marshall Fund of the US, working out of the Berlin office. She worked previously at the European Council on Foreign Relations and as an editor for the magazines “Internationale Politik” and “Berlin Policy Journa”l at DGAP.

Dr. Armgard von Reden ist die Vorsitzende von WIIS.de. Sie unterrichtet Internationales-, Datenschutz- und Sicherheitsmanagement an der Leibniz Universität in Hannover und berät Unternehmen in Diversity- und Datenschutzfragen. Zuvor war sie als u.a. als Direktorin bei der IBM tätig und leitete ferner das Kommunikationsreferat der Bundestagspräsidentin Süßmuth im Deutschen Bundestag.

Dr. Armgard von Reden is Chairwoman of WIIS.de. She teaches at the Leibniz University in Hannover on data protection, data security, and international management and consults industry clients on data protection and diversity issues. She has also worked as Director at IBM and served as Head of Communications for President of the German Bundestag.
